Rethinking the plans of previous architects that created a budget overrun of $3 million was critical to our healthcare team’s ability to deliver an expansion of this Emergency Department that kept in tact all original program requirements while staying well under budget. Leading edge technology and patient sensitive design are prominent throughout, including trauma care, exam and treatment suites; psychiatric observation, orthopedic, and triage rooms; waiting and registration areas, and nurses’ stations. Exterior improvements include a new ambulance bay and façade upgrade. SNCH has praised the new efficiencies in patient turnover resulting from our approach.
