Described as a cross between a library and a ski chalet, JRS designed Madison’s signature branch to appeal directly to their core demographic: female customers. Challenged to create a building that would look substantial, reflect the tone of the community, and welcome people to it — especially women — our design team drew inspiration from the late-19th century American Romanesque for its overall structure. For the interior, soft hues and fabrics, high-end warm finishes, a working fireplace, a well appointed lounge, and a plasma TV create a homey, living room feel.
