JOHN R. SORRENTI, FAIA

John R. Sorrenti is founder and president of JRS Architect, P.C. Through his efforts, the firm has grown from six people in 1986 to a staff of over thirty today. John serves as Principal-in-charge of the Mineola and Princeton offices. He has held such professional positions as President of the NY State AIA and Vice President of the National AIA and is consulted by his peers on subjects ranging from building safety and ADA conformity to project delivery methods and technology solutions. John serves as National Chair for AIA College of Fellowes Regional Representatives and Chair on the NY State Education Board of Architecture. He is also Regional Director for the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. His proactive leadership continues to differentiate JRS.

Alexander Hadjiyane, AIA

A principal since 1993, Alex is responsible for overall project management and serves as Principal-in-charge of our New York City office. A multifaceted architect, his abilities range from handling board room and facilities issues for blue chip clients to dealing with vendors, contractors, and building department questions. Alex spearheads our finance and defense industry work and with his track record of successful hospital assignments he manages the firm’s healthcare initiatives. Alex started the Long Island Chapter of the Architecture Construction Engineering (ACE) Mentor Program, and is very active in CoreNet’s annual Charitable Golf & Tennis Outing.

Robert S. Morrisey, AIA

Rob Morrisey joined JRS in 1988 and through dedication and organizational talents, became a principal in 2000. Rob is our Construction Management Principal and has developed an on-time/on-budget process that has earned the respect and repeat business of clients. He oversees our largest, most complex projects including data center and disaster recovery for top-tier financial and corporate organizations. Rob is an advisory board member at SUNY Farmingdale (Dept. of Architecture and Construction Management) and helps guide future professionals. Active on several Long Island AIA Committees, Rob has facilitated the expansion of membership services.
